Leap Year!

Feb 29, 2012

Leap Year!

The number, 29 in February is not often pop up every year. May be the number is the dimwit number compare to the others [LOL]. Mathematically, 29 of February only available once in 4 years according to Gregorian calendar. Wikipedia call it Leap Year. I call it bad year and it is not fare! Totally not fare. T_T

This is because Gregorian calendar was calculated by sun phase which one extra day has been inserted at the end of February. A leap year consists of 366 days, whereas other years, called common years, have 365 days. The extra day, the 29 February, is the 60th day of a leap year in the Gregorian Calendar, with 306 days remaining.  The Muslim calendar, The Qamary and Chinese calendar are based on moon phase. So, the days in a month were divided equally.

Never mind, it is just my point of view. However I prefer Qamary calender as the primary calender even I'm not well alert with the calender every day. We need to change, and I should start with me, myself... So, part of that, I don't really care if I'm not celebrating my birthday in 29 of February as I have 18 of Rajab in Qamary. Qamary calender is always fare as well as Islam. Fare to all, Islam for all. Believe it or not, everything is just in front of our eyes retina. In Islam, reasons and strong evidence is always consider to have faith in it. Discover... I wish all of you to cherish a great hope and always blessed by Allah. Sollu 'Alan Nabiy SAW.
